Library announces 2022 lineup at Tucson Festival of Books

(Tucson, AZ) It’s almost time for the 2022 Tucson Festival Books and the Library has some great panels lined up at its Nuestras Raíces tent. Presenting authors include Jaime Cortez, author of the debut story collection Gordo, which Sandra Cisneros calls “Luminescent with love,” and Yuyi Morales, the first Latina to receive the Caldecott Medal.

Jessica Redhouse, Library Program Collaborator in Residence, has been working to increase diversity at the Festival. She says, “I am very excited about the authors we have coming this year. With Many Nations teaming up with Nuestras Raíces, we were able to get Indigenous authors, performers, and artists, in addition to well-known and loved Latinx authors, performers, and artists.
